We know employers and employees want fair, efficient resolutions to workplace disputes.

Business Law

 

Our lawyers have experience resolving business and commercial disputes involving breaches of contract, director and officer liability, fiduciary duty claims, shareholder disputes, commercial liability, fraud, injunctive relief, and other legal issues in the business and commercial law context.

Public Interest Law

 

We are proud of our advocacy and litigation work on behalf of victims of police violence, the LGBTQ2S+ community, survivors of sexual assault, substance users, unhoused persons, environmental groups, First Nations, community organizations, protestors, and political dissidents in furtherance of the public interest.

Administrative Law

 

We act for clients before tribunals and administrative bodies including the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner, the BC Coroner's Service, and the Human Rights Tribunal. We have been counsel at two public inquiries: the Davies Commission into the Death of Frank Paul and the Missing Women Commission of Inquiry.

Constitutional Law

 

We have a special interest in constitutional issues and have been involved in cases involving freedom of expression, the right to life, liberty and security of the person, unreasonable search and seizure, arbitrary detention or imprisonment, and the right to equal treatment under the law.  

Personal Injury Law

 

We have experience acting for individuals who have been injured in accidents, assaults, or as a result of police violence. We have resolved claims for serious injuries including brain injury, spinal chord injury, chronic pain, and psychiatric injuries.
